Stephanie Ventura, operating as Tableside  ·  Effective May 19, 2026

Tableside is a private household meal planning tool. We collect what we need to make the app work. We don't sell your personal data to third parties.

01

Who we are

Tableside is operated by Stephanie Ventura. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at stephanie@jointableside.app.

02

What we collect

Information you give us
  • Name and email address when you create an account
  • Recipes you add to your library, including imported URLs and manually entered content
  • Meal plans, ratings, and cooking activity you record in the app
  • Household information, including member names you add
Information we collect automatically
  • Device identifiers and operating system information
  • Push notification tokens if you enable notifications
  • App usage data — which features you use, how often, in what sequence
  • Crash reports and performance data
03

How we use it

We use your data to:

  • Run the app and sync your household in real time
  • Power the shuffle algorithm — your ratings, cooking history, and preferences make it smarter over time
  • Send you a notification when we have something worth telling you
  • Understand how the app is being used so we can improve it
  • Generate aggregated, anonymized reports on recipe performance for creator partners (see Section 5)
  • Deliver relevant content or offers based on your cooking preferences and household activity, if we introduce this feature in the future
04

How we store and protect it

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We do not store payment information.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days.

05

Creator partners and aggregated data

Tableside's creator partnership program allows recipe creators to see how their recipes perform on the platform. We share only aggregated, anonymized data — for example, how many households added a recipe to their library, how many times it was cooked, and how it was rated on average.

We never share individual user data, names, emails, or household information with creator partners. You cannot be identified from any data we share.

06

Who else sees your data

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database, and cloud infrastructure
  • Anthropic — AI-powered recipe import and description features. Recipes you import or describe are processed by Anthropic's API. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

We may disclose your data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

07

Your household

When you join a household, other members can see your meal plan, recipe library, and grocery list. This is the core feature of the app. You can leave a household at any time from your Profile.

08

Children

Tableside is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at stephanie@jointableside.app and we will delete it.

09

Your rights

You can:

  • Access or export your data by contacting us at stephanie@jointableside.app
  • Delete your account and associated data from your Profile settings
  • Opt out of push notifications in your device settings

If you are in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days.

10

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
